We may ask you to prove your identity, or your business, in some situations: a high-value order, suspected fraud, or before resetting two-factor for an account that has lost its codes. Your services keep running, renewing and billing while we review; nothing in the client area is locked while you are unverified.

Verification is also the first step of the dashboard's Get set up checklist, so you can do it in advance.

Which documents

Proof of identity (everyone): any one of National ID (NID), Passport or Driving licence.

Proof of business (business accounts), depending on the legal form you chose: Trade licence (sole proprietor), Incorporation certificate (private or public limited company) or Registration certificate (partnership firm).

We may also ask for a TIN certificate, a bank statement or another document. We do not check NID numbers with the Election Commission.

Upload

  1. Open Settings → Verification. The badge at the top reads Not started, Under review, Action needed or Verified. The checklist shows Proof of identity and, for a business, Proof of business, each marked needed, received or verified.
  2. On the row New document press Upload.
  3. Choose the Document type and the File: a JPEG, PNG, WebP or PDF up to 5 MB. On a phone you can use Or take a photo of the document instead. Use the original photo or scan; a file renamed to a different type is refused.
  4. Tick I agree that Zeeroow keeps this document encrypted, uses it only to verify my identity, and deletes it as set out in the Privacy Policy. The upload button stays disabled until you do.
  5. Press Upload document.

Review

We review documents within 1 working day and email you when a document is approved or rejected. A rejected document shows Upload a new one; a replaced one shows No longer counts. The dashboard shows Upload again as a to-do while a rejected document is outstanding.

A business is Verified once both its identity and business documents are approved. If your identity is approved but a business document is still owed, the page says so: everything keeps working, we still need one more document to finish.

What changes once you are verified

  • Your name, tax ID and business details on Settings → Profile are locked, so the details on your invoices cannot drift; ask support to correct one.
  • Changing your account type (individual ↔ business) becomes a request we review. See Business accounts and changing your account type.

How your documents are kept

  • Each file is scanned for viruses, then stored encrypted on our servers in Bangladesh.
  • Only our compliance team can view it, and every view is written to a log that cannot be edited.
  • Never sent to any third party.
  • Kept while your account is open and for 1 year after you close it, then erased with the rest of your personal data unless a legal hold applies. Invoices are kept as tax law requires.
  • You can ask us to delete a document sooner from Settings → Security → Your data → Ask us about your data.
