The day counts here are our current settings. The dates printed on your own invoice and in your emails are the ones that count.
Your first invoice
When you place an order, the invoice is due 7 days later. Your service is set up once it is paid. An unpaid first invoice is never chased and nothing is suspended; if you no longer want the order, press Cancel this order on the invoice (see Cancel an order you have not paid for).
Renewal invoices
Services renew automatically unless you cancel auto-renew. Around a renewal:
- About 17 days before the renewal date you get an email headed … renews on …. It is a heads-up, not a bill, and you can switch it off under Settings → Preferences.
- 10 days before the renewal date the renewal invoice is raised. The email is New invoice … — ৳… due … with the PDF attached.
- The renewal date is the due date. Pay by bank transfer as usual; allow a business day for us to confirm it.
If your store credit covers the invoice in full, it is paid from credit as soon as it is raised (on by default; see Store credit).
If a renewal invoice is not paid
Counting from the due date:
| Day | What happens | |
|---|---|---|
| Due date | First payment reminder; the service keeps running. | Payment reminder: invoice … — due … |
| Every 3 days | A further reminder while it stays unpaid. | the same |
| 3 | The invoice is overdue. | Overdue: invoice … |
| 7 | The service is suspended: your website, email and panel stop. | Service suspended: invoice … |
| 23 | Final notice, naming the termination date. | Final notice: invoice … — termination on … |
| 30 | The service is terminated. Its data is kept for a further 7 days, then deleted for good. | Your service has been terminated |
There is no late fee.
Paying the invoice at any point before termination lifts the suspension automatically, within minutes of our team confirming the transfer. Once a service is terminated, paying the invoice does not bring it back; a new order is needed, and after the 7-day hold the data is gone.
Domains follow their own expiry clock instead: see Renew a domain, auto-renew and expiry.
Avoiding a suspension
- Pay as soon as the renewal invoice arrives; a bank transfer needs a business day to be confirmed, and Friday and Saturday are not banking days.
- Keep your invoice email verified and add a billing contact so reminders reach more than one inbox.
- Reseller customers: a suspension stops every account you host. See What suspension or termination does to your clients' accounts.
