What can change into what
A plan change moves a running service to another plan of the same family and billing cycle: a web hosting plan to another web hosting plan, a reseller plan to another reseller plan. A web hosting account cannot become a reseller account or the other way round; the panel refuses with "This is a standard hosting account, so it can only move to another Web Hosting plan". Order the other service as a new one instead.
A downgrade below the disk space you already use is refused.
Upgrade
- Open the service's Manage tab. Under Upgrade plan ("Move to a higher plan — you pay only the prorated difference (plus VAT) for the rest of this cycle, and the bigger plan starts as soon as that invoice is paid.") press Upgrade on the plan you want.
- Confirm: "The upgrade happens when you pay the prorated difference — we take you to that invoice now (it lapses if unpaid for 48 hours)." Press Confirm.
- Pay the invoice by bank transfer. Your service keeps running on the current plan until we confirm the payment; the service page shows Upgrade to … is waiting for payment with the date to pay by.
If the invoice is not paid within 48 hours it is voided and nothing changes. Because a transfer needs a business day to confirm, send it promptly.
Downgrade
Under Downgrade plan press Downgrade on the smaller plan, then choose:
- Schedule for ‹date›: the change happens at your next renewal; nothing is charged or credited now. The page shows Plan change scheduled with a Cancel scheduled change button, and the Billing card lists From ‹date›: plan · price.
- Downgrade now for account credit: the change happens at once and the unused value of the old plan comes back as store credit (not cash). The page confirms Plan changed — ৳… credited to your account balance.
If auto-renew is off, a scheduled change cannot happen: the service ends on that date instead, and the page says so.
Common problems
- No plans listed under Upgrade or Downgrade. There is no other plan of the same family and cycle, or the service is not running. Open a ticket.
- You want more disk only. Look at Add-ons on the same tab first; see Add an add-on to a service.
