This is the Acceptable Use Policy in plain words. The policy itself is on our legal pages and wins if the two differ.
Never allowed, on any service
Even where it is legal:
- adult content;
- child sexual abuse material (reported to the police);
- crypto mining;
- Tor exit nodes, open proxies, open mail relays and open DNS resolvers;
- IPTV and re-streaming;
- online gambling;
- phishing, malware, attacks, and scanning other people's systems;
- spam: bulk email only to people who opted in;
- infringement of copyright or trademarks;
- hate and harassment;
- anything illegal in Bangladesh.
Who may use it
You must be 18 or older, or acting for a business. You are responsible for what your clients put on accounts you resell.
Fair use on "unlimited" plans
Where a plan says unlimited, it means fair use for a normal website on shared hosting. If one account strains the server, the steps are:
- Warning: we tell you what to change.
- Throttling: the account is slowed down.
- Suspension.
Where harm is happening right now we may throttle or suspend first and explain after.
When we report a problem to you
You have 24 hours to fix it, or to show us there is no problem. We tell you by email and in a ticket. See Abuse reports and takedowns.
Suspended at once
No 24-hour window for:
- phishing;
- malware;
- DDoS or other attacks;
- child sexual abuse material;
- a lawful order from a court, the National Cyber Security Agency, the BTRC or another competent authority.
The service page then shows Suspended: an abuse report; paying an invoice does not lift it, and a person reads every appeal. See My hosting is suspended.
Repeated or serious breaches
We may terminate the service. The paid term is not refunded in that case.
